Oceanbird has installed it’s first 40m wing sail system on the 237m, 71,000 dwt MV Tirranna, a Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines car carrier
The system will undergo rigorous testing by the Oceanbird team over the next few months. The joint venture between Swedish engineering company Alfa Laval and Wallenius Marine has designed the Wing 560 tiltable rigid wing sail for PCTCs, Bulkers and Tankers over 200m. Read more…
