BAR Technologies have developed Ship System Efficiency Analysis Tool (ShipSEAT), a unique tool which combines the accurate simulation and interaction of complete hydrodynamic and ship propulsion systems with bespoke optimising multiple objective performance prediction and routing software.

ShipSEAT incorporates an inhouse weather routing tool which integrates the custom VPP to directly assess or optimise the route and savings based on various input and output criteria.

BAR Technologies have utilised ShipSEAT to design and optimise their own patented and trademarked wind propulsion system called WindWings.  With solutions available for tankers and dry carriers, WindWings and ShipSEAT offer 30% + fuel savings (on average) on global routes.
