Team Malizia – IWSA Associate Member
Team Malizia is a professional sailing team founded by German skipper Boris Herrmann and Pierre Casiraghi in 2018. We are competing in the toughest sailing races such the iconic Ocean Race or Vendée Globe. Our main skipper, Boris, sailed climate activist and Fridays For Future founder Greta Thunberg across the Atlantic to New York City in 2019. With the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) on our sails, Team Malizia is driven by the mission to inspire, educate and engage in ambitious climate and ocean conservation projects. We are active in promoting and pushing forward projects of sailing technology to a wider range of applications and involving the shipping industry to start working and adapt state-of-the-art wind propulsion systems. With our three main partners in the maritime logistics and transport industries, we are connecting the dots to inspire and implement ambitious decarbonization and other related sustainability projects.
