French Polynesia has had the Na Hiro E Pae, a newbuild multipurpose vessel delivered with a 22m bound4blue suction sail installed, the first known example of a multipurpose vessel with a wind propulsion system.The ship is owned by the Société de Navigation des Australes Tuha’a Pae Shipping Company (SNA THP). and will connect the Austral Islands with Tahiti.
