Halten Bulk have contracted 2+2 “Powered by Nature” low-emission self-dischargers of 7,100 dwt at SOHO Marine, designed by Norwegian Ship Design. The vessels are designed with a particular focus on superior sailing performance in order to maximize the direct contribution from wind – nature’s own renewable energy source.
In addition to rotor sails, the vessels will feature a hybrid-electric propulsion system including a shaft generator and battery pack. Read more…
