CW is currently in the exciting start-up / R&D phase.
The ‘Zephyr’ wing sail, already in use, is the datum (reference point) wing sail for the purpose of designing a canard wing sail. The Zephyr established spatial properties of height & deck radius. The canard fits into this space. The canard configuration has a bigger wing. The control surface, the canard, is a drive area. This results in an increase of 40% more drive compared to the datum Zephyr.
The canard wingsail has potentially diverse applications for boats large & small. Canard Wingsail takes a holistic perspective on sustainable shipping to meet the climate crisis, inclusive of imports / exports & producers of goods.
