Wind+Wing Technologies was formed to harness the power of wind in order to improve the efficiency and reduce emissions of passenger ferries specifically. After 23+ years designing and operating USCG certified sailing catamarans on the San Francisco Bay we have developed a proven method using computer-controlled, hard wing sails to provide a wind-assist hybrid ferry propulsion system. The initial demonstration results have shown a minimum of 40% reductions on fuel costs, pollutants and greenhouse gasses – all using the latest technology for a safe and reliable ride that commuters can count on.
