The ‘Enkhuizen’ Nautical College , based in Enkhuizen, Netherlands, specializes in the training of sailors to become Officer or Captain on large sailing vessels. We offer a two-year course in English, the ‘Kleine zeilvaart’ (coastal) and ‘Grote Zeilvaart’ (Oceangoing) course, together with STCW-courses for Basic Safety, Medical First Aid and Medical Care. About 30 to 35% of our students come from abroad and 30% to 40% of our students are female.
Many of our teachers still work at sea and they love bringing their experience into the classroom.
New in our education is the WASP-module, which is planned to start in 2021. The focus in this module is on alternative wind related propulsion systems. The module is open to all those interested.
