Our Secretary General, Gavin Allwright, was delighted to have recieved the Seahorse Freight Association award for ‘Personality of the Year’.
On recieving the award in London, he stated “While I greatly appreciate this personally, the real accolade goes to our International Windship Association members and supporters who put their trust in me to deliver the ‘Wind Propulsion’ message and my secretariat team for their unwavering support. This award comes from maritime journalists who are effectively in the rigging of this industry we love, highlighting when we get things right and holding us to account when things don’t go that way. That gives this award a great deal of weight to me and I hope that we will have more of the former as wind propulsion technologies and projects rollout over the coming years to help meet our zero-emissions targets.”
