Anemoi has recently completed the installation of five 5x35m Rotor Sails on Asyad Shipping’s SOHAR MAX, a 400,000 DWT Valemax Ore Carrier chartered by Vale.
The vessel, which was retrofitted with the sail systems in October in COSCO Zhoushan shipyard in China, has just completed a voyage to Tubarao, Brazil, during which the rotor sail test period began and testing will continue on future voyages.

This award is specifically for an organization that has promoted an ESG agenda and contributed towards sustainable shipping in the preceding year.
Wind propulsion advocates and OEMs in the other Green4Sea 2025 award categories include; ANEMOI, bound4blue, Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA, Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. and Capital Ship Management Corp. along with longtime IWSA associate member Thordon Bearings Inc.

Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has added to an earlier wind-assisted propulsion order for bound4blue wind propulsion systems, ordering three 22m eSAIL suction sails. These will be installed on a newbuild MR tanker by New Times Shipbuilding in Jiangsu Province, China in late 2025. Read more…
