Six GEFO Shipping group newbuild tankers are to be fitted with Norsepower Rotor Sails. These newbuild vessels, designed by Ship Design & Consult GmbH (SDC), and constructed by Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding., will be delivered between 2026 and 2028 with the rotor sails installed. Singapore-based shipowner Hung Ze Shipping has signed a cooperation agreement with Dealfeng New Energy Technology, a Chinese provider of wind-assisted propulsion systems, to equip a new series of 14,000 dwt chemical tankers with 24m rotor sails. The first vessel in the series is scheduled for delivery with the rotor sail system in the fourth quarter of 2025.
